Zoho ZeptoMail

You add Zoho ZeptoMail to Mailway as Any SMTP server. Mailway signs in to ZeptoMail’s SMTP server with a Mail Agent’s Send Mail token as the password and hands each mail over.

  • A ZeptoMail Mail Agent with your sender domain verified. See Deliverability for what each record proves.
  • The Mail Agent’s Send Mail token, from its SMTP setup page. The SMTP password is the token.
  1. Add the provider.

In the console, open Providers → New provider and pick Any SMTP server. Fill in:

    Field Value
Server smtp.zeptomail.com, or the host the Mail Agent’s SMTP page shows for your Zoho data center
    Port 587 or 465
Encryption STARTTLS for 587, SSL/TLS (implicit) for 465
    Username emailapikey
    Password the Send Mail token
    TLS verification leave it on

    Secrets are encrypted at rest.

  2. Attach it to a project.

Open the project, attach the provider, and position it in the failover order.

Mailway doesn’t read delivery reports from ZeptoMail, so the last state a mail can reach is accepted, when ZeptoMail takes it. Bounces and complaints that ZeptoMail learns about later don’t reach Mailway, and they aren’t added to the project’s suppression list.

The provider page’s connection check signs in to ZeptoMail’s SMTP server and closes the connection without sending anything. It tells you if the server, port, encryption, or credentials are wrong.

Mailway’s own archive always keeps the message as your app sent it.

ZeptoMail refuses a message over 15 MB, counting headers, body, inline images, and attachments. Mailway’s SMTP relay accepts up to 25 MB (SMTP relay), so ZeptoMail refuses a mail between the two sizes. Mailway records the refusal on the mail’s timeline and fails over to the next provider attached to the project. If your app sends large attachments, attach a provider with a higher limit as well.
